Canada- The Best Bet !!

Way to go Canuks !!!

Canada lags India in the number of people working in outsourcing businesses. But its stability, proximity and cultural similarity to the United States tend to attract higher-value, more sophisticated work. Via : NYT

So what does this mean ?? more Americans seeking work in Canada now ??

Lovmarks

A kewl funny read that TheHeadlemur finally had to say about lovemarks

When I was a teenager we had lovemarks. They were called hickeys. That is where you sucked on the body of your partner until you raised a bruise. The neck was the usual target as this early in a young relationship, you usually didn't get beyond the bra, or to the other naughty bits which was the ultimate goal. Oh yes, hickeys were love marks, as you hoped that the sucking was to help you to cloud the mind of your partner to get you to second base, third base, or wait for it.............A HOME RUN!!!

Wait..this is the first read that actually brings about the oxymoran in lovemarks. Funny, I really never thought about lovemarks like this..no wonder I accept feeds and reads !!

Thanks HeadLemur !!

A Rebuttal to TomPeters ?

Effern gives a different view point in Bread Alone posting of today.

But, I think he just missed the point, I maybe wrong, let me know. Business. Process. Management. As we know of it today, is not what its going to be tomorrow. Who gets to the finish line first is all that matters. Correct ??

No wonder both China and India (now Brazil) have more patents and copyrights being filed in a single day which surpasses what America files in a year. ( A little overboard on that statement !!) But what the heck, These are the same companies who outsource and need to retain competative advantage !!

Effern, write me when you figure out how Infosys, Wipro and TCS are doing value offerings to the F500 in  Innovations, Development, Business Process Operations. i.e under the banner of  Value Creation in the offshoring paradigm and cashing in big time !!! Follow the Money trail......

Pink Floyd Sued ?

ThisLondon Reports

With its chorus of "We don't need no education, we don't need no thought control, no dark sarcasm in the classroom - teachers leave them kids alone," the song was an anthem for teenagers. The album The Wall sold over 12 million copies.

Now the 23 ex-pupils are suing for overdue session musician royalties, taking advantage of the Copyright Act 1997 to claim a percentage of the money from broadcasts.

Pow-Wow -2004

This annual 2004 Pow-Wow was a must for me, so I went. The urge on the calling of Mother Earth and Father Sun was a little bit too strong for me to say NO. Well, the experience was awesome !!

BTW... "meegwetch"" in Ojibwa means "Welcome" , opps.. wrong .. its means "'thank you". This is my first word that I learned from May Lou Smoke ..and now I'll have too add Dan to the listing !!!!Lesson2

I kinda chatted up Dan and Mary Lou Smoke, Who  (I think) was the most revered elders in the community. Everyone knew them !! They run Smoke Signs, an FM radio station channel in Southern Ontario. They can be listened on 94.9 FM Radio between 6-8PM  EST

Danmarylousmoke_1 Thank you Mary for educating me on the difference between Costumes and Regalia. Beads_1See this Regalia, its back was a beautiful horse which consists of zillion of miniature beads !! Gosh, just think of how many hours of work that goes into that eh ??

I aslo visted Dorothy Grant, a Vancouver based Native Indian and picked myself a fleece lined scarf. Costs ..hmmmmmmmm..just about $55CAD. Title of the Art was, "Transformation"- A Human, being transformed into an Eagle.  Now that was the cheap buy. She's has some really really artistic works in the line-up. Pity me,  I am  traveling soon to EU, so on a tight budget... :(-. Hey, Dorothy, thanks for answering all my questions, on the inscriptions and blah blah questions that I really never had the opportunity to ask before!!.

I also bought a painting from Joseph Sagaj. He's has talent. I actually took his picture and ask permission to post his pic..he was did not want that. I respect that. But does he know that, I specifically wanted to link him up into the EU's Arts and Culture Studios ??? Well Joe, I don't even have a website address for you. But hey, you  a hecka talented.

I'll post post my pics and update my photo-log later on. I'll have an update tomorrow !!!  OK OK.. so whats the word for "Farewell my Friends" in Ojibwa ??

06/12-Update: I just learnt there is no indigenous word for "Farewall or goodbye". You'll see the Signals for "Goodbye" !!

Patent for grabs ?

Wow, this is heavy duty stuff. Zdnet reports :

"It’s like buying up nuclear material so it doesn’t fall into the wrong hands," said Jason Schultz, an attorney for the Electronic Frontier Foundation. No, we certainly don’t want to find our Web services protocols showing up on eBay. The big vendors relentlessly talk the talk about their "openness," but will they walk the walk and defend it?"

Update20041126: 7 days to Auction- 39 patents for grabs !!

Do not read my emails!!

The Wrath of Ballmer

Ballmer.jpgThe rotound Microsoft CEO just made waves at a Singapore conference, telling the attendees that Linux violated 228 different patents. He also warned--or, rather, threatened--that litigation may await companies that make Linux-based cellphones.
