Google - Suggest Beta

Friday early morning, Google -Suggest Beta is Launched.  I did a quick review. This is serious foo. Is Google doing backend Filtering and censorship ? Googlesuggestbeta

I think that this picture speaks a lot. One can see, what is sensitive to the US government is getting filtered right out !! Google does not mind returning results on abused women and abused children, but displays zero results for ABUSE in Abu Ghraib prison !

What gives ?

There is different echo's happening at GoogleBlog; Greg ; John ; Dave ; Scoble; Chris. Guys, in case you check your pingback and read this posting, let me know your thoughts.

RazedHead

Thanks for all the efforts. This is great going !!  We raised nearly $600/- for the Sick Kids Foundation.

Our Photo's are here.

Note of Thanks : Mirelle for going the extra mile !! Santas Little Helpers and JR Eye's, without your participation, the event would not have occured. I think, we all just shared a small part of ourselves, to a bunch of sick kid's.

I like this idea !! Razing my head, to the top two highest bidders - for a charity cause.

Way to go Dudes and Dudettes !!!

Task Force on Spam

The Canadian Government releases their Manifesto.  An Anti-Spam Action Plan for Canada.

The Task Force revels :

Among the best practices the industry leaders have agreed to follow are that Internet service providers (ISPs) and other network operators should block e-mail file attachments with specific extensions known to carry infections, or filter e-mail file attachments based on content properties.

Industry-wide practices of this kind are a world first, representing a product of consensus among Canada's largest and smallest ISPs, network operators, large enterprise users, software developers, anti-spam advocates and Industry Canada.

I wonder if there know that SPIT is around and how will they Handle that ???

1 Minute Strategy

* Offer a "live" option. Make sure your voice-mail message includes an option for how a caller can reach a "live" person instead of your message box. That's good customer service, and it also may save both of you time.

* Accept recognition with grace. If you keep saying "It's nothing" when your boss or someone else thanks you for a great job, he or she will start to believe you. Practice simple phrases to use in such circumstances: anything from simple "You're welcome" to "I'm thrilled that I could help."

I would like to take the opportunity to say THANK YOU to all MY Family (Aunts, Uncles, Cousins across in Austriala, Burma, India, Holland, England, America and Canada), for being always there for me ... (Whewwww.... thats quite the length and breadth of the Globe eh ??)

For my Friends a peice of adviceDon't Drink and Drive. Be Naughty and don't get caught... yeah  party hard, party wildly, but party responsbily ... I love you all  :)-

To my Assoicates and Colleagues, THANK YOU ALL, for your support during this year, on my projects. Without your hard work, none of the fruits of the labour could be realized. I am truly blessed with having a good bunch of folks working with me. Of course, there's that handfull of Colleagues and Assoicates, who I butt heads with too. To them, I must say- We may agree, to disagree. However, that does not imply, that my well wishes is not extended to you. IT IS !! :)-

Hey, to em bad folks .. better luck next year in your efforts to "scalp" me.. (Yeah, yeah yeah.... ..bad bad.. vibes..when peeps we trying to get funds to raze my head for sick kids, there were those who wanted to 'scalp' me outright !!!)  Sincerly hoping that Santa will be forgiving to those who thought otherwise and were very mean and vindicative in nature !! Just think, if Santa is angry, then no toys and peace in your home !! (I think Santa is a nice man and he'll visit you ..but if he does not .. it was'nt me !!)

To all my BlogSphere Dudes and Dudette's ..what more can I say, I'm taking your feeds. This year was fun. Next year is just going to get better  !!!

YAHOO/GOOGLE Squabble

I picked this chatter up sometime ago. I need to rehash for sanity purpose !! :)-

"Google is not interested in re-starting the browser wars nor is it about to become a portal, says chief executive Eric Schmidt." - Reported TheRegister

" Portals are the future! Search is the future! Portals are the future! Portals with search are the future!" - Jermey

I blogged the start of what I thought was the begining of the 'Squabble' !!I and also observed the start of the Search Wars begin. I also picked up this chatter from Jerry Young some time ago.

Ok so Portals and search is the thing. But what do  blogs have to do with portals ??

After all, this echo is based on 2004 best weblog awards !!

First Signals !!

Se:kon/Boozhoo  which mean's Greeting !! in the Seneca and Ojibway language, pronounced 'saygo' and 'booshoo' !!

This catogory is in the sharing of information and knowledge on Native Indian's. My intention  resides in the 3P's concept. Promotion, Preservation and Posterity of the culture, beliefs, traditions and values of the Native Indians.

I actually started this for  Smoke Signals. People I really don't know, but want to know more about them all. Right now, I can only read the signs and feel my way thru,  and hopefully I'll get  help, as I go thru this journey of understanding.  I like this peice of advice of Elder Art Solomon, now deceased, gave the Smokes his seal of approval on their performance as Native communicators and cultural interpreters in one of his last interviews on "Smoke Signals."  He said:  "It's time for us to tell our own stories.  For too long, we have had the white man tell our story and now it's our turn, it's our turn to talk and it's their turn to listen."

Many thanks to Dan Smoke-Asayenes for getting me started !! I also move my posting on  Pow-Pow2004 into SmokeSignals Catogory.  Lesson1

Just email me your thoughts or comment directly using the comments link under each posting. I am seeking community participation !!!
