SOlaris hits the roof !!

Solaris hit's  the 3M mark.  Does this mean that HP-UX will now begin to drown ??

After all-  IBM is adopting Sun Solaris for bladerunner series.

Pete's Pond

Could not help but take notice for pete's sake   of Petes' Pond. (after all my namesake) heheh !!  I actually dived into that pondsphere immediatly.  Great Project. Yeah, take a look its worth the time.

Thanks for the tip Susan !!

Delhi Bomb Blast ?

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh told Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf on Monday there were indications the weekend bomb blasts in the Indian capital had links with militant groups in Pakistan.

via :Reuter

I early heard on CNN that India had linked this as a 'terriost' act.  So why are the militant groups trying to play havoc in India ?? What happens if the Hindu National Movement suddenly becomes at large and begins turning into a civil war ?? Like what happened when Indria Gandhi was shot and the same that happened at the Barbi-Majid Mosque issue.

Can India hold together in todays Global Strategy ??

Security Reports

Jeff brings a nice tidbit of news (Kerr Reports) for bed time reading !! Download and make your Own thoughts !!

"The National Security Archive has obtained (through FOIA) Intelligence and Analysis on Iraq: Issues for the Intelligence Community, the third of the three reviews into the Iraq WMD debacle led by former CIA Deputy Director Richard Kerr:

The report, from July 2004, is the third of three prepared by a group of intelligence experts led by Richard J. Kerr, a former deputy director of central intelligence, to examine the U.S. Intelligence Community’s assessments in the months before the U.S. invasion. The first two reports remain classified despite the fact that many of their key findings are summarized in the July report and in unclassified reports produced by the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence and the Commission on the Intelligence Capabilities of the United States Regarding Weapons of Mass Destruction."

What I am not understanding here is Why so late in the game is this being brought to public notices ? After how many billions of dollers that is being wasted and how many lives that have been lost. and to boot, today is when Saddam goes on trial

MSM Problems

Rebecca sez it best here  ;

"If it bleeds it leads. If it's not bleeding, and if the story is multi-faceted, complicated, and doesn't fit editors' neat good vs. evil paradigms, it's terribly difficult to get editors to care - and thus enable the public to be informed. "

Does this mean that all MSM is interested in is what actually dies ?? If it lives then there is no story. IT may seem strange, but if you take a closer look at TV channels, this appears to be the truth.

MSM only cover stories of death, destruction & decay  of society !! I call this the DDD effect of MSM's !!

Back to Hell !!

Kalandar Sheikh, a senior police inspector in Mumbai, decides to respect a brothel's property rights. The property in question: three minor girls.  Read this. Disgraceful. !!
What-  I dont understand is that Main Stream Media has so much to say about all this in their own countries yet they  hestiate to catch and investigate these type of stories !!

WTF !=Error

This is a classic WTF error, I stumbled across at WTF !!

Outsourcing Argument

We've all heard the economic arguments about outsourcing--the good, the bad and the ugly ones. A most compelling point is that outsourcing is a deflation phenomenon. It's all about cutting costs which lead to lower prices, not to mention lower wages.

But JetBlue is proving a counter-argument--that the real forces behind deflation are technology, innovation and domestic market competition, not just globalization and lower costs of production overseas.

Via : BusinessWeek

This is very interesting so what is happening here ?? costs are be slashed, yet its all about being innovation !! So how does Jet Blue fly me from Boston to NY with a $25 fare ?? Its cheaper then moving around in NYC in a Cab for crying out aloud .. Go figure !!

Hey lets not jump to conclusions remember the " jetsgo"fiasco in Canada  ??
