Fulfilled are those who are not ambitious,
    For they will have ultimate success.
Fulfilled are those who admit their wrongs and make amends,
    For they shall be forgiven.
Fulfilled are those on the lowest rung,
    For they shall have recompense from God.
Fulfilled are those who strive to do the right thing,
    Right will indeed come to them.
Fulfilled are those who are fair,
    For they shall be treated justly.
Fulfilled are those with clean consciences,
    For they shall receive what they deserve.
Fulfilled are the catalysts of harmony,
    For they shall be called God’s people.
Fulfilled are those who suffer because they have done the right thing,
    For theirs is an unspeakable reward.
Fulfilled are you when you are insulted and mocked, because of association with me (Jesus) and this teaching.

Be deeply and inwardly at peace, for life is infinitely more than the world and work, and everyone who has lived like this for God has experienced the very same.

The Gospel According to Star Wars

Linking “Star Wars” to the Bible is a task that the Covenant-First Presbyterian Church in Cincinnati has taken seriously enough to great a bible study on the subject.

“This is our language. We grew up with this,” said Smith, 33, pastor at the church for four years. “With this study, we’re saying there are hints of truth, beauty and goodness in the story that can bring us back to the biblical story.”

This is kewl.. and May the (holy) Force be with you !!

Sfumata - Divine Smoke ?

The success or failure of the electoral process will be indicated to the world through the Sfumata or Smoke Signals.

I culled this from an article from Harvard Business School. "How do Cardinals divine the Will of God ?". My 1st Posting on Religion is here, where I kinda mentioned who just, may be-- declared as the next "Bishop of Rome"

I find this really strange, that  Smoke Signals are used indicate to the world the outcome of the electoral process.  I also run Smoke Signals. A category dedicated to Truths and Values on Native Indians.

The New Pope ?

This is my first Public posting in Religion.  A time honored tradition will be followed.

First, the death of the current Pope will be verified by the Carmelina, the head of the Sacred College of Cardinals, who follows specific procedures, such as the breaking of the papal ring and seal. The Pope is buried and nine days of mourning follow.

Fifteen to 20 days after the Pope's death, the Cardinals meet to elect the next Pontiff. The election, known as a conclave, is held in a sealed and secure part of the Sistine Chapel. Only cardinals under the age of 80 vote, and secret written ballots are used. The Carmelina and three assistants count the ballots.

Four ballots are taken each day, two in the morning and two in the afternoon, until a vote is successful. The ballots are burned after each vote, and if the vote is unsuccessful, a substance is added to the fire to produce black smoke. Thus, black smoke indicates to the waiting crowd that the voting continues, while white smoke signals that a new Pope has been chosen. When a candidate has been chosen, the dean asks him if he accepts the papacy. If he does, he is appointed Bishop of Rome and is announced. Then he appears on the balcony of the Vatican. !! He is the Pope

My bet, is that Cardinal Jorge Bergoglio -who is  still known as "Father Jorge" to many members,  will be chosen.
