Health Hazard Alert - Dole Brand Cantaloupes May Contain Salmonella Bacteria !!

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) is warning the public not to consume the Dole brand cantaloupes described below because these cantaloupes may be contaminated with Salmonella.

 

The affected cantaloupes, produce of Costa Rica, were distributed under the Dole brand name. However, individual cantaloupes do not have any markings.

UPS vs Airbus

"United Parcel Service Inc., the world's largest package-delivery company, said Friday it renegotiated a contract with Airbus to delay and possibly cancel an order for 10 freighter versions of the European plane maker's mammoth new jet, the last remaining order for the cargo carrier on the books at Airbus." This could very well mean that UPS will now have issues with the thier long drawn far east Asia market space. After all, they hae all that warehouse space and stuff like that, but no vehicles to actually move the products out from China /Korea and into thier EU and NA customers. DHL not serving Canada well ?

Andy brings some me an interesting tidbit of info !!

He cribs "If you type in "DHL toronto pickup" in Google.ca (Toronto IP), you would be able to see even Google can't find anything from DHL canada. Nothing from DHL is in sight, not even any Adwords ads."

oh .. during recently conversation of a leading company-- I dropped the question.. "whats your customer experience strategy".. and the answer was "oh we have a call center" -dah  !!

CAED 2007 version 7.1

CN07-4 is a notice to upgrade your software by MAch 31st 2007. For all Exporters who use the automated Export Declaration systems, take note of the notice.

"In CAED 2007 version 7.10, the container number field now accepts the 11-character international standard. Exporters are reminded that a complete container number is required to be reported to the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA). Failure to provide a complete and/or accurate container number may result in the issuance of Administrative Monetary Penalty System penalties."

Nice detailed rant happening here - at times I think that these F50 Companies are not interested in customer satisfication or even listen to what their customers are saying about them.

Its a fact, the market is always laughing, at them (the company) !!

Identity Theft with Brown ?

Chris  has a nice post, where he describes the situations with other party's using his company name.

"What seems truly illogical to me is that UPS allowed somebody to set-up an account with completely fraudulent information, with the exception that they used an actual company for the billing address (mine), and then let them ship a large number of overnight letters from a different state (and from an apartment no less) without any kind of check and balance in place, or provisional limitations, or payment validation/verification"

I am pretty sure that as an SEC traded company, checks and balance are in place. But what matters is that these checks and balances have failed in your situation.  But, Chris does make a valid point within the SRisk Managment mandate on indentity and attention factors within the shipping industry.
